WE BELIEVE
A journey through the guiding truths we base our faith on.

SALVATION + SANTIFICATION
We believe YHWH (God) exists in 3 persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). YHWH is the Creator of all things and humanity was made in His image. The gift of humanity was free will and unfortunately, we used that to sin. In His grace and mercy, since the fall, He set into motion a plan to redeem all of His children. This plan was clearly seen in the person of His Son, Yeshuah (Jesus). It is His finished work, through a perfect life of obedience and His death as the final sacrifice of the old Covenant that establishes the new covenant. In Yeshuah, the covenant of sacrifices was fulfilled and the covenant of salvation and sanctification was formed.

Scripture teaches that it is faith alone (not works) in Christ alone (His life, death, and resurrection) that saves us. Yeshuah said that 'it was better that I go away', because He was sending us a gift, the Holy Spirit. It is Holy Spirit that sanctifies us (makes us like Christ) and empowers us to live a supernatural life.
CULTURE + CONSIDERATION
One of the many challenges Yeshuah gives his followers is found within 'The 2 great Commands'. Along with loving YHWH with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength, we are called to love our neighbor as ourself. This is not a love in word [only],
but a love in action.
Yeshuah challenges us, in the parable of the sheep and the goats, that we demonstrate our love for Him in how we care for the 'least of these' around us. There is not way to love God and not love people. Sometimes people are challenging to love... all of us.

Paul gives us a metaphor for our relationships with one another...'the body'. Just as the body has many parts, but is unified, so we are called to be unified. This is why we do not subscribe or affiliate with a particular denomination or singular culture. We believe the local church should look like her local community and if we are reaching the people around us, this will be reflected in the people among us.
GIVING + GENEROSITY
We believe giving is a healthy expression of love in a healthy relationship. YHWH demonstrated His love for us by giving, and we have the privilege of reflecting this heart. We recognize some churches misuse scripture and manipulate (even unknowingly) people into financial support. However, 2 Corinthians 9:7 lets us know the heart that we are to give with...a cheerful one. We recognize that giving is not a religious obligation, but it is a relational opportunity that is a natural expression of love. This giving happens inside of offering, but it also happens as we encounter those in need around us. Our prayer is to live a lifestyle of generosity as we share out time, talent, and treasure with others who need it most.

For us, we don't give because we 'have to', we give because we get to! If YHWH expressed His love toward us by giving, we believe we are privileged to do the same wherever we find a need.
LEADERSHIP + LOVE
We get it...there are a lot of ministry models out there. Some traditional churches are led by position and power, while some contemporary churches are led by personality and preferences. For us we recognize that healthy families have structure and that all family members contribute as well. We recognize that leadership's greatest strength is seen in service. Some of our leaders offer strategy while others offer support. We get our model and qualifications from Scripture and we have elders that serve in annual rotations as a way to offer direction, decision-making, and development. We also have directors and coordinators to offer the same support through our staff.
Yeshuah challenges cultural notions of leadership and power in Matthew 20:25-28. For us, leadership is about service and support, not power and position.
